Swat Spotlight: Video Interview with Philadelphia Union's Morgan Langley '11
On April 7, 2011, Morgan Langley of the Class of 2011 and the all-time points leader for the Swarthmore men's soccer team, signed a professional contract with the Harrisburg City Islanders, USL PRO League affiliate of major league soccer's Philadelphia Union. Only five months later, on September 15, after leading the City Islanders to a USL PRO Championship Match, Langley was signing an MLS contract with the Philadelphia Union. Two days later, Langley would make his first MLS appearance in a critical Eastern Conference game against the Columbus Crew in the 80th minute of play; a game that the Union won 1-0. We were able to meet up with Langley after a game in the Union locker room to talk about his journey to the MLS and asked how Swarthmore prepared him for his MLS career.
