Women's Cross Country Finishes Sixth at Centennial Championship Meet

NEWVILLE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's cross country team finished sixth in challenging snowy, cold, and windy conditions at the Centennial Conference Championship Meet hosted by Dickinson College at Big Spring High School on Saturday morning.

Senior Melissa Frick was the top finisher for the Garnet with a 22nd place finish and a time of 25:38.9.

Senior Stephanie Beebe was the Garnet's next finisher, crossing the line in a time of 26:07.1, good for 35th. Rounding out the scoring runners for the team were seniors Katie Gonzalez (40th/26:28.1), Margret Lenfest (51st/26:47.6), and sophomore Emma Saarel (52nd/26:49.7).
 
Johns Hopkins took the women's team title with 43 points, followed by Haverford (52 points), and Dickinson (69 points). Dickinson's Taylor Ludman was the individual winner with a time of 23:43.0.
