Cross Country Teams Ranked No. 7 in USTFCCCA Mideast Region Poll
NEW ORLEANS - Following strong finishes in last Friday's Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University, the Swarthmore College men's and women's cross country teams find themselves ranked No. 7 in the latest USTFCCCA Mideast Region Poll.
At the Paul Short Brown, the men's team turned in its best performance of the year, placing seventh overall against Division III teams (12th overall), and coming in just four points behind nationally-ranked centennial conference foe Johns Hopkins University. The women ran well as well, coming in 27th, with Melissa Frick placing 64th overall.
This is the men's first time in the poll this season, while it's the women's second consecutive week in the poll, moving up three spots from 10th place.
The Garnet are back in action this Saturday in the DeSales Invite at 10:30 am.
