Coleman Named to Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Volleyball First Team
TOWSON, Md. – Senior Allie Coleman of the Swarthmore College volleyball team has been named to the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Volleyball First Team, the organization announced Thursday afternoon.
The recognition marks the third consecutive season that Coleman has received academic all-district honors.
Coleman (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto), the team's defensive specialist as primary setter, will leave her mark on the Garnet volleyball record books, including a memorable senior season. She recently broke the career assist record of 3,199 established by Emily Conlon (2002-05) as she is averaging 8.14 assists/set this season alone. She collects 2.49 digs/set, with 939 career digs, and has totaled a team-best 44 service aces this season.
With the accolade, Coleman is now eligible to be named to the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-American Team, which will be announced later this month.
