Coach Jeremy Loomis enters his 11th season at Swarthmore College, committed to the continued national prominence of the women's tennis team. Under his watch, Swarthmore has attained its highest national ranking (No. 14), won three Centennial Conference Championships, earned seven All-America distinctions, and reached the NCAA Division III Championships five times.

As a collegiate player at the University of Maryland, Loomis played #1 singles and #1 doubles and after graduation, competed on the professional tour where he earned a world ranking in doubles. He started his coaching career in Jakarta, Indonesia where he was part of the staff that trained the Indonesian Junior National Team and several Indonesian Federation Cup and Davis Cup players.

When he returned to the United States, Loomis earned a master's degree in Exercise Science from Miami (Ohio) University and was the assistant coach for the men's tennis team that won consecutive MAC conference championships. He then took the helm at his alma mater, coaching the men's tennis team and assist with the women's team. While attending to the coaching duties, Loomis earned an M.B.A. from R.H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

Before coming to Swarthmore, Loomis spent a year in Durham, N.C., assisting the Duke University women's tennis team and helping them achieve a No. 6 national ranking.

Ed O'Malley
Title: Assistant Women's Tennis Coach

Ed O'Malley is in his second season as the assistant coach for the women's tennis team and brings a variety of experiences working with top level athletes.

Coach O'Malley began his coaching career at the world-renowned Harry Hopman International Tennis Academy in Florida. While coaching there for 10 years, he worked with many national and world ranked players including Davis Cup players from the USA, India, Japan, Spain, and Australia. He also trained and worked with former world ranked #2 player Andrea Jaeger and French and Australian Open Champion Mary Pierce.

Prior to coaching collegiate tennis, he directed the tennis program at Cooperstown Country Club in Cooperstown, N.Y. for three years.

In 2000, he took over as the head men's and women's tennis coach at Oneonta State University and immediately made an impact compiling a 39-14 record in three seasons and was named the SUNYAC Coach of the Year in 2003.

In addition to his duties at Oneonta, he was also the director of Binghamton Tennis Center in Binghamton, NY and in 2002 was named the USPTA Coach of the Year in the New York State West Region.

He currently resides in Pottstown, PA and is a graduate of business administration from Oneonta University.

Katie Wettick
Title: Assistant Women's Tennis Coach
College: Haverford '11

Katie Wettick is in her first year with the Swarthmore College women's tennis team.

A 2011 graduate from Haverford College, Wettick was a a three-time All-Centennial Conference first team for singles and three-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll honoree. She was awarded the program's team MVP award all four seasons with the Fords. Additionally, Wessick was the team captain from the fall of her sophomore season through her senior season.
