Women's Tennis Falls to Division II Florida Tech, 9-0

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Swarthmore women's tennis team (1-3) couldn't bounce back from Monday's narrow defeat on Tuesday, as it lost to nationally-ranked Division II Florida Tech 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon.

Freshman Katie Samuelson, after dominating her singles match on Monday, won the Garnet's only set of the day, taking her first set against Florida's Alexis Weinnig (6-3) before losing the next two sets and the match (3-6, 6-3, 10-4).

Swarthmore returns to competition on Friday, taking on Palm Beach Atlantic at 3:30 pm.
