Women's Soccer Wins Eighth Straight NSCAA Team Academic Award
KANSAS CITY, Kan. - For the eighth consecutive season, the Swarthmore College women's soccer team has won the NSCAA Team Academic Award, the organization announced over the Thanksgiving holiday.
To win the award, a team needed to produce a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the 2011-2012 academic year.
The Garnet women's team continues its impressive stretch of success both on the field and in the classroom. In the eight years that the team has won the team academic award, it has also won 91 games, produced a Rhodes Scholar and Academic All-American, had 11 all-region athletes and 30 all-conference athletes, won three ECAC Championships, and made the conference playoffs six times.
