Emma Sindelar Named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week
LANCASTER, Pa. - Freshman Emma Sindelar of the Swarthmore College women's soccer team (10-5, 5-3) has been named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 23, the Conference announced Monday.
Sindelar (Salt Lake City, Utah/Waterford) tallied three goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Garnet. Against Muhlenberg, she scored in the 20th minute and added an assist on sophomore Amber Famiglietti's game-winning goal in the 31st minute. She scored in the 36th and 71st minutes against CCNY, while adding another assist in a 9-1 non-conference win on Saturday.
For the season, Sindelar leads the Garnet and all Centennial Conference freshmen in goals (9) and points (21).
Swarthmore will play its second-to-last regular season match of the year on Wednesday, traveling to take on Tri-Co rival Bryn Mawr. Play will begin at 3:30.
