Stockbower Earns Centennial Conference Player of the Week Honors for Second Time

LANCASTER, Pa. - For the second in less than a month, Swarthmore College senior Kathryn Stockbower has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week, the organization announced on Monday afternoon.

Stockbower put together a fantastic week for the Garnet (8-3, 4-2), averaging 20.7 points and 13.7 rebounds while shooting 61.0 percent from the field in a 2-1 week.  She had double-doubles in all three contests, including a 22-point, 18-rebound effort in the win at NYU. Stockbower now has 73 career double-doubles – six shy of the Division III record.

Stockbower also reached a milestone in a loss to Franklin & Marshall, becoming just the fourth player in program history and 12th player in Centennial Conference history to reach 1,500 career points.

The Player of the Week honor is Stockbower's second of the 2010-11 season -  with the first coming for the week ending December 12 - and sixth of her career.

Swarthmore returns to action on Tuesday when it travels to McDaniel. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
