Softball Splits Twin Bill with Haverford on Senior Day, 5-2 and 4-7
SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Junior Elizabeth Cushing's two-RBI double in the bottom of the fourth inning propelled the Swarthmore softball team (7-23, 3-13 CC) past the rival Haverford Fords (8-22,4-10 CC) 5-2 in game one of the doubleheader but the Fords went on to win game two 7-4 to split the series.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - After losing 6-2 in game one of the afternoon doubleheader, the Swarthmore softball team (6-22, 2-12 CC) rallied back from nine runs down in game two but fell just short of a comeback win and split, falling to Washington College (18-16, 8-4 CC) in game two 9-8 on Tuesday afternoon on Clothier Field.

Dickinson Pitches Past Softball for Doubleheader Sweep, 5-0 and 8-0
CARLISLE, Pa. - Strong pitching performances from both teams kept game one close but the Dickinson Red Devils' Allison Jordan's perfect game that lifted the Devils past the Swarthmore softball team (6-19, 2-9 CC) in game one on Sunday afternoon. The Red Devils (11-15, 7-4 CC) went on to finish its doubleheader sweep with an 8-0 win in game two.

Softball Drops Two to Chapman to Open Season
ORANGE, Calif. - The Swarthmore softball team (0-2) held two early leads on Monday against the Chapman Panthers (4-9) but the Panthers offense proved too much as the Garnet would drop both games, 10-2 and 4-1. Senior Kira Kern led the Garnet at the plate three of its four hits and scoring two of Swat's three runs between the two games.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Visiting Widener scored two runs with two outs in the top of the eighth inning thanks in part to an error in the outfield, as the Pride rallied to defeat the Swarthmore College softball team 6-4 in the second game of the doubleheader, completing a two-game sweep on Thursday afternoon from the College. The Pride took the first game 11-0 in five innings.

In the first game, Swat (4-8) saw a 3-1 sixth inning lead slip away thanks to four runs from Blue Jays (7-2-1) in the bottom of the frame, while in the second game, Blue Jays' starting pitcher Emily Vogel limited the Garnet to just one hit innings over five innings.
