Liz Cushing Named Centennial Conference Co-Hitter of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. - Senior Liz Cushing of the Swarthmore College softball team (14-16, 0-10) has been named the Centennial Conference Co-Hitter of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon. Cushing shares the honor with Haverford's Jen DiCandilo.

Cushing hit .368 in six games, finishing with six runs and seven RBI. In the first game against Penn State-Berks, Cushing recorded her 100th career hit and had four RBI off of a home run and two doubles. She is now fifth all-time in program history in career hits. Cushing currently ranks No. 2 in all of Division III in doubles per game (0.67).

The Garnet return to action Tuesday at Washington College (3:00 p.m.).
