Men's Cross Country Earns 17th-Place Finish at NCAA Mideast Regional

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Paced by the class of 2013, the Swarthmore Garnet men's cross country team finished 17th in the field of 50 at the NCAA Mideast Regional on Saturday from Slippery Rock, Pa.
Sophomore John McMinn was the Garnet's first overall finisher in the 8K race, in a time of 26:47.3, good for 62nd place. Sophomore Jacob Phillips was right behind, crossing the line 76th place (27:08.4) in the field of 316 runners. Sophomore Aidan Dumont-McCaffrey (27:34.1/102), junior Chris Wickham (27:52.7/124) and sophomore Bill King (28:07.5/140) rounded out the Garnet's top five.
