Men's Tennis Releases 2012 Schedule
SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's tennis team has released its schedule for the 2012 season.
The Garnet will open the 2012 slate at home against Stevens on February 25 (1:00 pm) before heading out west for a Spring Break trip to California. While on break, the Garnet will play a challenging slate against Occidental (March 4), No. 7 Kenyon (March 4), Division I Villanova (March 6), Whittier (March 6), No. 15 Redlands (March 7), Cal Tech (March 8), No. 5 Claremont (March 8), and No. 8 Pomona (March 9).
The Centennial Conference schedule opens on March 22 as Swarthmore travels to face Ursinus (4:00 pm). The Conference home opener will take place on March 24 when defending Centennial champion Johns Hopkins visits (12:00 pm). Other Conference highlights of the season include a rematch with Franklin & Marshall, whose defeat of the Garnet last season eliminated Swarthmore from the playoff tournament (April 7), and a season-ending match with Tri-Co rival Haverford (April 21).
