Youngblood Named Centennial Conference Player of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. - Junior Stephen Youngblood of the Swarthmore College men's tennis team has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for the week ending April 18, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Youngblood (Norcross, Ga./Lighthouse Christian Academy) finished 2-0 in the Garnet's only match of the week, an 8-1 win over Dickinson. At No. 2 singles, he defeated Will Golinkin 6-0, 6-2 while winning at No. 1 doubles with Zak Kelm 8-5 over the Red Devils' Ross Anstaett and Will Golinkin . With the help of Youngblood, Swarthmore (10-6, 6-1) has now won six consecutive matches.

The Garnet close out the home campaign on Wednesday against Washington College. Play is set to begin at 4:00 p.m.
