Men's Swimming Opens Swarthmore Invite

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Receiving contributions across classes, the Swarthmore men's swim team put forth a strong showing on Day 1 of this weekend's Swarthmore Invite.

In the first event of the meet, the 200 freestyle relay team of freshman Max Krackow and seniors Lance Liu, Neil Palmer, and Tim Brevart combined to earn third place in the field of 15, touching in a fast 1:30.00.

The Garnet placed men in the top 10 in all three individual events of the session.  Sophomore Peter Ballen took sixth in the 500 freestyle (5:02.27); sophomore Stan Le came in 9th in the 200 IM (2:05.80); and Brevart touched fifth in the 50 freestyle (21.84).

Brevart, junior Roger Chin, and seniors Sam Bullard-Sisken and Dante Fuoco combined for a fifth-place finish in the 400 medley relay (3:46.09).

The Invite continues tomorrow.  Morning swims begin at 9:30 am, and the evening session is set to start at 4:30 pm.
