Franklin & Marshall Too Much for Men's Swimming
LANCASTER, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's swim team (2-1, 1-1) fought hard but proved no match for the strength of the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats on Saturday, as the Garnet suffered a sound 186-76 defeat.
The Garnet's lone event win came in the 50 freestyle, where senior Tim Brevart (pictured) touched first in 21.82, followed by freshman Max Krackow (22.82). Brevart came in second in the 100 (49.45).
Other notable swims were turned in by sophomore Peter Ballen (2nd, 1000 freestyle, 10:40.77), sophomore John Flaherty (2nd, 200 freestyle, 1:52.76; 2nd, 200 backstroke, 2:04.76; 2nd, 200 IM, 2:05.41), and senior Samuel Bullard-Sisken (2nd, 100 backstroke, 55.40).
The Garnet's meet schedule continues next Saturday at the Rowan Invite.
