Men's Soccer Earns National Rankings
KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Thanks to a 5-0 start, the Swarthmore College men's soccer team has entered the national rankings in the both the D3Soccer.com and NSCAA/Continental Tire National Polls, which were released on Tuesday afternoon.
The Garnet men are ranked No. 14 in the D3Soccer.com poll and No. 18 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire National Poll. The rankings mark the Garnet's first appearance in each poll since Oct. 18, 2011.
Swarthmore also moved up two places to No. 3 in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Rankings.
The Garnet is coming off a 2-0 week, which included away victories over Widener (2-1) and No. 5 Franklin & Marshall (2-1). The road doesn't get any easy for the Garnet, as the squad will face perennial contenders Stevens (Sept. 19), No. 14 Dickinson (Sept. 22) and Muhlenberg (Sept. 27) in its next three matches.
