Men's Soccer Releases 2012 Schedule
Swarthmore, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's soccer team released its schedule for the 2012 season on Wednesday.
The 17-game slate features match-ups with four NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago, including away matches against three of the five teams that made the Centennial Conference Tournament last season.
The team opens the 2012 season hosting the 15th annual Garnet Alumni Classic with games against Rutgers-Newark on Saturday, September 1, and Manhattanville College on Sunday, September 2.
Swarthmore plays its next four on the road, including visits to RPI, 320-rival Widener, and Centennial foe Franklin & Marshall.
The Garnet's home Centennial opener will be against 2011 conference champion Dickinson on Saturday, September 22.
Additional home highlights include a September 19th clash with perennial contender Stevens Institute of Technology and a non-conference battle with local Neumann University, who advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament last year. The regular season concludes with a match against rival Haverford College on Garnet Weekend (Saturday, October 27).
