No. 10 Dickinson Red Devils Burn Men's Lacrosse, 14-5

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's lacrosse team (4-8, CC 1-4) fell behind three goals early on Saturday afternoon and couldn't climb its way back as the No. 10 Dickinson Red Devils (10-2, CC 4-1) handed the Garnet its fifth straight loss, 14-5.

Swarthmore was lead by a dominant performance from sophomore Jonathan Molloy who scored two goals. Senior John Bukawyn added a goal and an assist, while junior Steve Selverian and senior Max Hubbard tallied goals as well.

Senior Matt Bowers played a strong game defensively, picking up four ground balls.

Dickinson had four players score two goals - seniors Sam Abramson and Richard Craft, sophomore Brian Cannon, and junior Christian Beitel. Craft and Abramson each added an assist as well.

Abramson scored the first two goals of the game just five minutes in, and set the tone for a dominant Dickinson offense.
The Red Devils' defense was strong as well allowing no goals in the first period, and ultimately surrendering only two Garnet goals before halftime; both of which came from Molloy.

In the second half, the Red Devil broke the game wide open scoring a flurry of nine goals in the third and fourth quarters to shatter the Garnet's hopes at a comeback.
Goals by Hubbard, Selverian, and Buakwyn paced Swarthmore, but the Red Devils' Cannon and Craft netted a pair apiece, accounting for four of the nine goals to keep  the Garnet out of reach.

In goal for Swarthmore, senior Michael Brockway finished with 10 saves, while Dickinson's Greg Hanley recorded seven saves.

Swarthmore will try to snap a five-game losing streak next Wednesday, April 18 when it travels to Maryland to take on the Shoremen of Washington College. Play is set for 7:00.
