LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. - Senior Paul Weston came through with a one-over 73 to place second and lead the Swarthmore golf team to a fourth place team finish in the field of 14 at the Philadelphia University Invitational on Tuesday afternoon from the Ace Club. Swarthmore shot a 313 as a team, besting Division I Drexel University by a stroke while Goldey-Beacom College took the team title, shooting 300.

ELVERSON, Pa. - Junior Paul Weston finished 20 over par through three rounds of golf to finish third overall in field of 35 golfers to lead the Swarthmore golf team to a fifth place team finish on Sunday in the Centennial Conference Championships at Stonewall. The Garnet finished with a team score of 957, behind Conference champions McDaniel who scored a 932, Gettysburg, Muhlenberg and Dickinson.

After posting a 307 as a team on the first 18 hole loop the Garnet came back around to shoot a school record 303 on the second 18. The tournament hosted teams in Division I, II and III including Wilmington and Bucknell Universities.

Swat Golf Victorious At Widener Invitational
WILMINGTON, Del. – The Swarthmore College golf team fought through 25 mile per hour wind gusts on Monday afternoon to win the Widener Invitational with a low score of 309, finishing ahead of Cabrini College (322). The win gives the Garnet golf team its third straight tournament victory and fifth of the season. The Garnet also sealed another victory over Widener in the 320 Challenge as Swat would beat out the Pride by 24 strokes.

WILMINGTON, Del. – The Swarthmore College golf team fought through 25 mile per hour wind gusts on Monday afternoon to win the Widener Invitational with a low score of 309, finishing ahead of Cabrini College (322). The win gives the Garnet golf team its third straight tournament victory and fifth of the season. The Garnet also sealed another victory over Widener in the 320 Challenge as Swat would beat out the Pride by 24 strokes.
