Playoff Preview: Golf Teams Set for Centennial Conference Championships

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's golf team will be competing in the Centennial Conference Men's Golf Championship, held this Saturday and Sunday at Blue Ridge Country Club. The event will be hosted by Dickinson College.

The Garnet is led by freshman Andrew Park, senior Paul Weston and sophomore Sam White. Park currently leads the Centennial Conference in scoring average (76.47) and has been Swat's most consistent performer throughout the season. Weston ranks fifth in scoring average (78.12) and is a two-time First Team All-Centennial Performer, finishing third at last season's Championship Match . White shot a fifth-place 78 this past Tuesday at the Blue Ridge Country Club at the Messiah Falcon Classic, which is playing host to this year's championship. Rounding out the squad are sophomore Jeff Wall, who shot a program-best 69 in the fall, and sophomore Kyle Knapp, who finished 10th at last season's championship.

On the women's side, freshman Amanda Beebe will be making a run at the Centennial Conference individual title.

Beebe, who currently has the fourth best stroke average in the Centennial,  is coming of her best outing of the season in which she posted a carrer-best 84 at the Stonewall Golf Club to win the Ursinus Women's Invitational.

The victory marked Beebe's first collegiate tournament win.

The Centennial Conference Women's Championships will be held at Hanover Country Club in Abbottstown, Pa., and are hosted by Gettysburg College.
