Weston, Park Lead Golf Team to 3rd Place Finish at Dickinson Invitational with a 312
PALMERTON, Pa. - The Swarthmore golf team fell only four strokes shy of first place at the Dickinson Invitational on Wednesday afternoon with senior Paul Weston and freshman Andrew Park posting a pair of 76's to lead the Garnet to a 312 team score at Blue Ridge Country Club.
Franklin & Marshall and McDaniel both recorded team scores of 308 to lead the day but the Diplomats came out on top after reviewing scorecards to capture the title.
Sophomore Jeff Wall carded Swat's third low score, finishing a stroke behind Weston and Park with a 77.
Rounding out Swarthmore's top four scores was sophomore Kyle Knapp, who shot an 83 on the day.
Senior Alex Nichamin came in with a 92 as the Garnet's No. 5 golfer while sophomore's Sam White and Price Ferchill played as individuals. White shot a 77 and Ferchill shot an 80.
The Swarthmore golf team returns to the course on Monday, March 26 when it hosts a quad-match with Drexel, Haverford, Penn State-Harrisburg and Widener at Rolling Green. Tee-off is set for 1:15.
