49 Swarthmore Student-Athletes Named to Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll
LANCASTER, Pa. - The Centennial Conference has named 49 Swarthmore College student-athletes to its 2010-11 Spring Academic Honor Roll, as announced on Tuesday. The honor roll recognizes athletes' performance both on the field and in the classroom.

Weston Finishes Third at the Centennial Conference Golf Championships, Swarthmore Finishes Fifth as a Team
ELVERSON, Pa. - Junior Paul Weston finished 20 over par through three rounds of golf to finish third overall in field of 35 golfers to lead the Swarthmore golf team to a fifth place team finish on Sunday in the Centennial Conference Championships at Stonewall. The Garnet finished with a team score of 957, behind Conference champions McDaniel who scored a 932, Gettysburg, Muhlenberg and Dickinson.

ELVERSON, Pa. - Freshman Jeff Wall shot a team-low 81 in harsh, rainy conditions on Tuesday afternoon to lead the Swarthmore golf team to a tie for fourth with Delaware Valley College with a team score of 330. Wall's finished tied for 12th individually in the field of 62.

White Leads Golf to Win Over Richard Stockton
ATLANTIC CITY - Freshman Sam White was the only player to break 80 on Sunday afternoon, shooting a 78 to lead Swarthmore past Richard Stockton at the Seaview Resort. Swarthmore shot 320 as a team while Stockton brought in 334.

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. - Junior Paul Weston tied for second place with a 76, leading the Swarthmore golf team to a third place finish in the Rutgers-Camden Scarlet Raptors Spring Golf Invitational at the Pennsauken Country Club on Friday afternoon. As a team, the Garnet shot at 325 behind tournament champion Penn St. - Abington (319) and Cabrini College (324).

Golf Moves Up on Final Day at Glenmaura National College Invitational, Knapp Ties for Ninth Overall
MOOSIC, Pa. - The Swarthmore College golf team moved up the standings on day two of the Glenmaura Invitational on Monday afternoon, shooting an improved 315 to tie for seventh place out of the 11 team field. Freshman Kyle Knapp led the Garnet, finishing tied for ninth in a field of 55 golfers shooting an 80 in the final round after bringing in a 73 on day one.

Golf Sets 18 Hole School Record at Wilmington University Spring Classic with a 303
WILMINGTON, Del. - The Swarthmore men's golf team finished fourth at the Wilmington University Spring Classic 36-hole tournament on Saturday afternoon. After posting a 307 as a team on the first 18 hole loop the Garnet came back around to shoot a school record 303 on the second 18. The tournament hosted teams in Division I, II and III including Wilmington and Bucknell Universities.

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - Junior Paul Weston shot the lowest round of the weekend with an even par 72 on Sunday to lead the Swarthmore golf team to a second place finish at the McDaniel Spring Invitational. Swat finished with a 630 behind St. John Fisher's score of 625. Weston finished tied for second place in the individual standings, carding a 150 for the weekend.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - In 2010, the Swarthmore College golf team was plagued by rainy weather in the beginning of the spring and a lack of depth all season long. But with the return of its top three Centennial Conference performers from 2010 and a bevy of talented newcomers, the hope is that 2011 will be a turnaround season for the Garnet, with the squad setting its sights on battling for a conference title.

Knapp Leads Garnet Golf to 6th Place Finish in the Muhlenberg Fall Invitational
Allentown, Pa. - Freshman Kyle Knapp fired an 81 to tie for 11th place in a field of 56 players to lead the Garnet golf team at the Muhlenberg Fall Invitational on Monday at Lehigh Country Club. Swarthmore would shoot a total score of 346, placing them in 6th out of 11 teams. The golfing conditions were tough, complete with rain and lightning fast greens. In addition, the Swarthmore team would only span four players, instead of the usual five.

The Garnet would finish seventh with a score of 340.
