Katie Teleky Named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. - Swarthmore College senior forward Katie Teleky has been named the Centennial Conference field hockey Offensive Player of the Week in the week ending on September 9, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.

Teleky scored four goals and handed out two assists as the Garnet improved to 4-0 for the first time since the 2004 season. She tallied twice, including the game-winner, with an assist in the 7-5 triumph against Richard Stockton. Teleky, the team's leading scorer with 11 points, also had two goals in a 4-0 shutout of Widener.

Teleky and rest of the Garnet field hockey team will open at home tomorrow afternoon with a 4:00 p.m. battle against Arcadia in hopes to stretch the winning streak.
