A graduate of local Marple Newtown High School, Rob is entering his second season as assistant baseball coach at Swarthmore College. Rob is responsible for working with infielders and hitters along with recruiting.
After prepping at Marple Newtown he continued his baseball career at Division I Brigham Young University. As a player he held a career Mountain West Conference batting average of .352 and helped lead the 2002 team to the NCAA Division I Regional Championship game against USC hitting .325 with five homeruns and 57 RBI’s on the season.
Before taking the job at Swarthmore, Rob worked as the Assistant Baseball Coach at Arcadia University responsible for working with hitters and infielders. During his two seasons with the Knights, hitters saw significant improvements. At the end of his first season returning hitters had raised their individual batting averages an average of 44 points per player from the previous season. At the conclusion of this past season hitters saw similar improvements with all but one of the returning hitters setting career highs in batting average, on base percentage, and slugging percentage.
Rob is also the Director of the Maplezone MuckDawgs Travel Team Program.
He received his Master's degree from West Chester in 2010.
