COMPLETE RESULTSEWING, N.J. – The Swarthmore College men's track & field team competed in the Lion Invite, hosted by the College of New Jersey, on Saturday, April 25.
The 4x100-meter relay consisting of
Jason Heo,
Peter Sayde,
Zain Hannan, and
Tim Vaughan-Ogunlusi finished in third place with a time of 43.76 seconds.
There were also several notable individual performances by seniors, including
Erick White's fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run with a mark of 1:55.28 as well as
Jonas Oppenheimer's 4:01.67 finish in the 1,500-meter race.
In the 5000-meter run, sophomore
John Gagnon recorded a close second-place time of 15:53.24. The mark was just under a second behind his first-place competitor.
Swarthmore will next compete at the Centennial Conference Championships at Muhlenberg from May 1-3 and look to improve upon last year's eighth-place finish.
