BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Swarthmore women's basketball player
Katie Lytle was named to the D3Hoops.com All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team for the second straight season, as announced by the national organization on Monday, March 17. The senior guard is now eligible for All-America laurels.
Lytle recently became the third player in conference history to earn multiple Centennial Conference Player of the Year honors, joining Dickinson's Annie Guzek (1994-96) and Swarthmore alum Katie Robinson (2002-03). The senior, who registered 14 double-doubles, averaged 17.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, 2.3 steals, 2.3 assists and 0.7 blocks this season. In addition, Lytle led the league in scoring, rebounding and field goal percentage (51.4) while ranking second in steals.
A native of Harrisburg, Lytle was also named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week four times this season and was a Capital One Academic All-American last month. She finished her illustrious career ranked sixth all-time in scoring (1,382 points), third in rebounding (1,050), fourth in steals (228), fourth in blocks (85) and seventh in field goals made (495).
