Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

Mission Statement

As members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Swarthmore College, our mission is to:

• Through sponsored endeavors, cultivate and strengthen ties between the varsity athletic community and the larger Swarthmore community;

• Promote varsity athletics as a valuable part of the collegiate experience and take steps to increase overall campus awareness of varsity athletic events;
• Support and act as a resource for Swarthmore varsity student-athletes through formal meetings that are open to all Swarthmore varsity student-athletes;
• Through regular communication, act as a liaison between student-athletes and the athletics administration to address concerns and resolve any conflicts; 
• Encourage student-athletes as both individuals and teams to continue to cultivate strong relationships within the athletic community.
