Thomas Limouze began as an assistant men's and women's swimming coach at Swarthmore before the 2014-15 season. He is responsible for assisting head coach Karin Colby with all aspects of the programs, including recruiting, creating training plans, and managing equipment and travel logistics. Limouze also started and continues to run Swarthmore's masters swim team.

Limouze was a critical component to Swarthmore Men's Swimming winning its first Centennial Conference Championship in 2016-17. For both programs, 2016-17 was a standout year as 28 school records were broken.

Before starting at Swarthmore, Limouze was the head coach of Friends Select Swimming which he helped found in Spring 2011.  Under his guidance the club, located in Philadelphia, PA, grew from 40 to over 100 swimmers in the first year.

Limouze formerly was a middle and high school science teacher in the School District of Philadelphia. A highlight from his teaching experience is a week-long trip with a group of 10 high school students outward bound canoeing the Delaware Water Gap.

Limouze was a four-year varsity swimmer at Oberlin, specializing in the distance freestyle and butterfly events and earning team MVP recognition as a freshman, sophomore, and junior.

He received a bachelor’s degree in biology at Oberlin in 2006. In 2015 he received a master’s degree in kinesiology at Temple University.
