Swarthmore 53, Gettysburg 52

Gettysburg, Pa. – With five seconds remaining, junior
guard Katie Lytle hit a pair of free throws to give the Swarthmore
College women's basketball team a 53-52 victory over Gettysburg
College Saturday afternoon in
Centennial Conference action. The Garnet upholds an unblemished
record at 7-0 (4-0 CC), while the Bullets fall to 4-4 (3-2
CC).
Swarthmore 68, Washington 65

Swarthmore, Pa. – The Swarthmore College women's
basketball team outlasted the Washington College Shorewomen to
claim a 68-65 victory at Tarble Pavilion on Thursday night in
Centennial Conference action. With the win, the Garnet improves to
6-0 (3-0 CC) on the season; the program's best start in the
Centennial era.
Swarthmore 61, Widener 50

Swarthmore, Pa. – Backed by double-double performances
from Katie Lytle and Elle Larsen, the Swarthmore College women's
basketball team (5-0) defeated Widener University (4-2) 61-50
in Monday night's 320
Challenge at Tarble Pavilion. With the victory, the Garnet matches
its best start since the 2000-01 season.

Swarthmore 70, Gettysburg 63
Dec. 8, 2012
Gettysburg, Pa.— Led by three players in double
figures and some clutch free-throw shooting in the final minute of
play, the Swarthmore College men's basketball team (2-6, 2-3 CC)
outlasted homestanding Gettysburg by a score of 70-63
on Saturday afternoon from
Bream Gym.
Swarthmore 87, Washington College 82

Swarthmore, Pa. - Behind outstanding performances from
junior Joe Keedy and freshman Seth Liebert, the Swarthmore College
men's basketball team (1-6, 1-3) picked up its first victory of the
2012-13 season, defeating Washington College by a score of 87-82
on Wednesday evening from
Tarble Pavilion.

Swarthmore 110, Ursinus 95

Swarthmore, Pa. - Paced by double-victory performances from
senior Daniel Duncan and junior John Flaherty, the Swarthmore
College men's swimming team battled to a close win against
Centennial Conference rival Ursinus on Saturday by a score of
110-95.

Swarthmore, Pa. - Led by sophomore stalwarts Supriya Davis
and Kate Wiseman, the Swarthmore College women's swimming team
pulled out a narrow victory over Centennial Conference rival
Ursinus on Saturday by a 108-97
score.

Player of the Week
John Flaherty '14 (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township), Men's
Swimming
In Saturday's 110-95 victory over Ursinus,
Flaherty collected two individual victories in the 200 IM (2:02.68)
and the 200 backstroke with a season-best time of 2:01.37. He was
also part of the 400 freestyle relay team that placed first
(3:18.10) and clinched the win for the Garnet.

Did You Know?
This weekend was the first time that both the men's and
women's basketball teams won in Bream Gymnasium at Gettysburg
College since the 2003-04 season. On Saturday, the men won 70-63 and the women
topped the Bullets by a score of 53-52.
