Garnet Giving to Hurricane Sandy Victims - DEADLINE EXTENDED
Swarthmore College Athletics has joined the relief efforts for Hurricane Sandy victims. The department is collecting and donating school supplies to Union Beach School District’s Memorial School in New Jersey. Their entire school was flooded and many school resources were damaged and lost. They are in the process of rebuilding and hope to reopen in December.
The department will be collecting donations until Friday, December 14th.
There will be collection boxes in the Athletics Front Office, the Shane Lounge in Parrish, the Kohlberg Coffee Bar, and the Science Center Commons.
Donations can be in the form of books, notebooks, pens, pencils, paper, crayons, binders, or any other items for the classroom. Gift Cards to places like Staples, Target, Wal-Mart, Kmart, and Costco are also welcome.
