5th Annual Golf for the Garnet Recap
On a gorgeous Columbus Day, the Swarthmore College Athletics Department hosted the 5th Annual Golf for the Garnet golf outing from the The Springhaven Club.
Over 80 friends of Swarthmore Athletics participated in the event. Golfers took advantage of the best weather in months, as the temperature remained in the mid-70s all day and the sky remained cloudless all afternoon. After 18 holes, the foursome of women's lacrosse coach Karen Borbee, women's basketball coach Renee DeVarney, Shea Delmar, and Mike Trout claimed victory by finishing with the low score of 56.
After the afternoon of golfing, it was time for cocktail hour, dinner and raffle prizes. Pat Brancazio walked away with the raffle grand prize, a four-day, three-nights all accommodations paid trip to the The Inn at the Anderson Creek Club in North Carolina.
The department of athletics would like to thank everyone that helped make the 5th Annual Golf for the Garnet such a resounding success. See you next year!
